And that is exactly why my approach on lifestyle and portrait photography may be a bit different from ‘what everyone else is doing’.
I don’t want to be the photographer who provides you with 200 digital images which will only be shared on social media. My images are printed, on high quality paper, and given a place in your life. Forever.
I want my images to stand the test of time.
Because I put a lot of time into it. It is an investment, including time, both for me and for you. I want to portray you as you really are, including the little imperfections.
I go for pure, sincere, authentic, fun, quiet but at the same time enthusiastic, and reserve more than enough time in my schedule so that we never have to rush.
Your toddler suddenly having a tantrum? No problem. Your baby who suddenly has cramps and is only happy if you rock him gently up and down all the time? I just stay, and make sure to capture those moments of “no, no photos when he’s crying anyway” as well. You, who might take half an hour to just find inner peace in the presence of a photographer? Fine, I am a good listener and curious by nature!
I want what we do to stick. That it’s not a quick-fix photographing, because you can’t direct our little kids. No need to, because I am convinced that the pictures are so much more beautiful when the little ones are comfortable. That they don’t have to be bribed every so often with “you get a candy if you smile once at that lady right now. I’m just Leentje, and dare I say those little ones often like me, with my goofy faces and inventor-of-the-best-games. I’m not going to ask them to whip out their best baby teeth toothpaste smile, because those spontaneous in between moments, are secretly the most fun!
So, no stress. If you make sure to have a coffee ready, everything will be fine! (For outdoor sessions, I bring my own thermos, no worries!)

How it works
I have 5 albums from my childhood. I am eternally grateful to my mom for that. The digital world we live in no longer goes for “quality” and “tangible. But watch me, I’m going back to where it all started.
With every shoot, you first pay a shoot fee of €290, which covers my time and all professional preparations. Your questions will be answered with the utmost care.
Afterwards, I get to work, make a selection of the most beautiful images (often more than 100) and provide you with an online gallery. The first thing you will see is a photo slideshow with the best of: a wide variety of images.
That’s when you will be able to choose from 3 different collections. Each collection includes a number of high-resolution downloads as well as a print credit for my online photo store.
Only the best products on the finest papers were selected for you. Collections start at €590.
Photos are so much more valuable when you actually have them in your hands.
