How do you find a wedding photographer who really suits you?
A few tips.
Think about what you want…
Dreaming of a grand day with a wild atmosphere? Or rather a timeless celebration, filled with gentle emotion?
Gather ideas and leave room for your individuality. For example, avoid looking at wedding photos of others, but find your vibe in visual art, poetry or music.
Look for a click.
Of course you can do without: photographers are professionals. But having a click with who is telling your story makes a world of difference. It creates confidence, in how the images will charm and surprise you. Search until you find’m, that click, and feel the weight falling off your shoulders.
Start on time.
Choosing a wedding date is a puzzle that seems impossible … until it is completed. The venue is essential, of course, and oh, maybe a wedding planner, an idea about daily schedule, a mood board for decoration, …
But don’t wait too long to choose a photographer: our calendars for the next calendar year are already well filled.
My (stress-free) modus operandi
1. Fill out the contact form
Send me your details via the contact page; you can expect my reply within 2 business days. If your date is still free in my calendar, I would love to invite you for a short call: I swear by a personal introduction.
2. I book your wedding date in my calendar
Do you also feel that click? Then we choose each other. I send monthly tips, answer your questions and liaise with the wedding planner. We have 2 more calls in order to prepare to the max. A month before your wedding day, I’ll send a comprehensive questionnaire; then we’ll talk on the phone to go over the planning and finalize details.
3. You enjoy, I photograph
On the day of all days, I am your third pair of eyes AND ears, to secure memories. Discreetly but briskly I guard your wishes.
Ten days later, you will receive a preview with some forty images.
4. Time for highlight number 2
Eight weeks after the wedding, a slideshow retells the story of the day; the full photo gallery invites you to go on a treasure hunt. A lot of photos, in color and black and white.
I also offer a wide range of options for albums and prints, with personalized advice. Call me hopelessly romantic, but photography exists to preserve.
