Annelies and Charlotte. Where to start? These two girls got a deep impression on me from the first moment I met them. They were so damn sure they wanted me als their wedding photographer for their Same Sex Wedding in Roeselare that it almost made me blush. They came all the way from Roeselare to meet with me in Leuven. We were sitting on the terrace with a glass of wine and we kept on chatting.
Annelies and Charlotte are high school sweethearts. If I remember well, they were even in the same class. It didn’t take long for them to notice that they liked each other just that little bit more than just being normal friends. Charlotte’s parents immediately accepted Annelies as their daughter’s ‘real’ girlfriend, and they developed a very special bond. Annelies speaks about her parents in law as one of her best friends… How awesome is that?
Their wedding day started in Charlotte’s parents house, a farm in the country side of Roeselare. I was immediately welcomed by the two bouviers and the rest of the family. The atmosphere was so relaxed and friendly, I immediately felt at home as well. The day went by so perfectly and smoothly. For a moment the dark clouds threatened to ruin the outside ceremony, but nothing had to be feared cause the strong sun chased them away.
