Bridal Editorial in Iceland

This country. I met up with Linda for a free spirit bridal editorial in Iceland. Linda is a professional model and make-up artist, represented by Dottir Management. I asked her to come natural, which she did. I shot this session at the very last hours of my trip in April. First, I dropped of my friend Niccola at the airport, and then I drove to Reykjanesviti, where I parked my beloved Dacia Duster and took a nap in the car while I waited for Linda to arrive. I was totally wrecked after a week of traveling.

The weather got worse. Damn. But as noticed before, and on the shoots I did last year (see here for the love shoot and here for another editorial), Icelandic people are probably one of thoughest on earth. I put this poor girl in a dress where the wind blew right through, she did was she was asked to do and I didn’t hear a single word of complaining. Side note, I stood there with 4 layers of clothes, a hat, gloves, boots… It was 4°C, wind was getting stronger and oh yes, rain and wet snow came our way as well… we just love the Icelandic unpredictable weather, don’t we?

Linda was super professional and gave me the moody dark and mysterious poses as I was hoping to get. I must admit, during and after the shoot I was not sure how I would like the outcome of this shoot. I simply was too tired to think. I didn’t look at the pictures for 4 days, and when uploading them on my iMac at home, I must say I was really surprised and happy with how they turned out.

The dress, as always, is from the Belgian brand Rembo Styling. Because in Iceland (yes, it’s cold there) I also brought a Rembo Styling knitted jumper. Both from the 2017 collection.

Next week (or the week after), I’ll blog about my Icelandic road trip. So stay tuned. Cause I will never get enough of this country!
